WHAT'S UP AT TONE BENDER

Southern California native John Nelson had a choice to make: surf everyday or play guitar. Like everybody else in his 1960's folk-crazed family, John chooses to play guitar, a noble profession. By the time John was in his late teens he was a known guitarist in the 1970's Southern California Rock and Blues music scene. By his early twenties he had played with John Lee Hooker, Eddie Money, Yoko Ono, The Rockets, The Chamber Brothers and many other known bands.

The 1980's were spent primarily as Eddie Money's lead guitarist/musical director/co-writer/co-producer. John now records music full time here at Tone Bender Records and is dedicated to writing, producing and releasing as much original music as possible. These days, John is easy to find, he's at the loft recording. Keep your ear to the ground and you may hear from us soon at Tone Bender Records.
